Same reason Billy Joel hates singing Piano Man...

Seriously, I've done the thing since 2006. I probably wouldn't have done it this year except for the Jimmy Kimmel Live inquiry Brad and I got. For me, they were interested in my Death Star carve, so...

Ah okay I can totally understand that! I was hoping it wasn't for some health reason!!!

That's one reason I've been looking for different cats to carve - I love cats, and I do a cat every year, but I was getting tired of doing the same one over and over.

Those all look awesome!

The 360 "where the wild things are" is amazing! Must be so cool to see in person!

As always, very very beautiful pumpkins. I wish I had time to sopy one of your elaborate creations this year. I'll be luck to just get one chopped out that is relatively mediocre.

It's always a pleasure to view everyone else's hard work. All I can say is very well done.

OK, 16+ hours later, I'm finally done with Anne Stokes' Forest Walk Dragon. I had no idea it would be this complicated. This is a 19 inch tall pattern on an 80 pound pumpkin:

Have you seen the Dragon Saeco posted??
I was at Stockade just recently...I was looking
at "The Great Book of Dragon Patterns" all I could think of
was Noel...I wonder why...
Wanted to buy it, scan it and forward the pics
because I knew you could do something with them :D

Fantastic job on that Dragon Noel!!! Nice way to finish the
carves for the show :D

One day (not counting the pattern) - well two if you could the change in days. I started it (meaning I finally finished the pattern) around 10:00-1030 yesterday morning and got done carving at 3:30 this morning.

BTW, Anne Stokes, the artist gave me the thumbs up - her entry in her blog is here:

http://anne-artblog.livejournal.com/

She's going to send me a signed print of the painting
